My oil paintings vary in subject and the type of surface I paint on.
A Neighbors GradenMedium - Oil painting on boardSize - - 2' x 2’Price - $1200
What fun it was to paint this gorgeous work. Our neighbor in Provincetown had a wonderful garden. It was a riot of colors and shapes leaping and leaning towards me. Midsummer heat and a fence could not contain the lushness. One sunlit day invited me to play around with colors and shapes in the noon-day sun. I had such fun! Sometimes even using my fingers to carve out leaves and blossoms from puddles of oil paints mixed into the hollows of large seashells.

LiminalMedium - Oil on canvasSize - 6' x 6'Price - $400
Few of my works are totally personal outpourings like this piece. I wondered how this stage of my life would evolve. My husband was gravely ill. There were twists and tugs on every side. But trusting praying my spirit soared. I felt surrounded by a golden aura. Wrapped in lightness, angst faded. My spirit soared.

Storms ApproachingMedium - Oil on canvasSize - 10" x 14"Price - $600
Everything rocks as it begins to blow on the coast. My tubes of oil paints seem to want to climb out of my paintbox. By late afternoon the painting was finished and so was I. Amen.

TwilightMedium - Oil painting on plexiglass panelSize - 24'' x 42''Price - $800
This work emerged from a pallet that was covered with pretty inks I had tossed it out into the bushes in despair. My favorite framer came for a glass of wine and noticed something in the bushes he said finish the piece and I'll frame it. I looked at it and saw it expressed how the day in my studio often ends the light goes down and the blue light merges. I love the evening glow gradually covering the daylight fauna as the sun disappears into a quiet evening.

Wonder of a Winter AfternoonMedium - Gessoed paintingSize - 2' x 2'Price - $900
This painting was made remembering walking on the beach in the winter in Provincetown. Gesso and modeling paste holds it together. The freshness is contagious. My technique evolved and I am afraid I can’t do it again.

Rt 97 Autumn BlissMedium - Oil on canvasSize - 30" x 15"Price - $900
On a late October afternoon as cars whizzed by, I painted as if my life depended on it. Actually, at home, my husband was dying and I had taken time off to refresh. This is one of my favorite pass roads on my way to nearby Topsfield. There was a haunting quality, no matter what the season because the trucks were no longer in the barn. All signs of past people had disappeared. I ended the afternoon using my plastic gloves as paintbrushes because I could work quickly. It always reminds me of mud pies playing in the mud.
