Seasonal Landscapes
One of the great things about New England is the flow of the seasons one season rolls into another, Winter's majesty becomes Springs playfulness where the branches of the bare trees come back to life with a-greening and a-popping staccato. Spring is shy here. Winter crispness gradually thaws the earth. Then flowers cheer me helping me remember other sweet places and times. Summer with its outrageously picturesque possibilities slides on to the laps of Spring bringing picnics in the hills, meadows and on rocky beaches. But then in a few weeks its so cool that suddenly I reach for my down vest and walking stick so I can once again go look for deer and the famed fabulous gold and orange trees of New England. I invite you to share my pleasures and savor pictorially what I just described- my love for this unique place, Cape Ann , New England.
A Time to Prune

Driving my children to school I kept looking at this apple orchard soon there was a ladder and so many branches disappeared I thought how I should trim my branches and thus become stronger.
From the TopMedium - CollagraphSize 18 x 23Price $600
Where do we go from here? We can’t be blown by the wind and we can’t look down. The best is dig in and stay. Embrace the sky. Such a fine winter day.PS I glued dog hair and straw on the plate for the trees in front of the mountains.
The Green UmbrellaMedium - CollagraphSize - 25 x 18Price $600
Every now and then, it’s time to just sit especially if we are across the street from the water and the weather is just becoming warm and opening the tulips. I just left my chair for you. Provincetown is fun, but I prefer this spring garden.
In Praise of a Winter's DayMedium - CollagraphSize - 36 x 18Price $1200
Going off island, from Cape Ann to Vermont with our skis. Off to days of glowing snow and deep blue, star lit evenings. We look forward to wide open spaces and gradual descents. Even the notion of falling in the snow seems hilarious.

Lyrical Trees of AutumnMedium - CollagraphSize - 24 x 18

The trees made from twisted threads dipped in blue and manipulated and the leaves on the ground are tiny torn glued cardboard and the stones behind are the modeling paste textures to contain the glow of autumn.
End of DayMedium - CollagraphSize - 26 x 26Price $800
Smoke is coming out of the chimney and the trees outside are blue. It’s time for hot tea by the fire just for me and you.
Spring FestivalMedium - CollagraphSize - 25 x 17Price $400
The forsythia is out and the roofs of the houses are over-shadowed by their glory. Walk down the lane with me.
FrozenMedium - CollagraphSize - 24 x 23Price $900
Every time I drove pass this farmhouse I thought how abstract the shapes are. The vast snow covered field and the tiny blue triangle in front of the orange band of sky. Think how many people it took to build the rocky stone wall leading up to the house. A wagon is almost hidden at the top of the hill.
